John Amaechi Discusses Inclusion In the Workplace

John Amaechi is a popular keynote speaker and respected organisational psychologist who was widely interviewed for comment during the Black Lives Matter protests. Speakers Corner invited John to speak during their Diversity and Inclusion virtual showcase event just a few weeks after the protests. John weaved in his professional and personal experiences to help their audience understand what it takes to create truly inclusive workplaces. This included a moment where John argued workplace programmes for minority groups are often created to ‘fix’ those participants, rather than examining why the environment they work in is toxic to those that are different.
